For this particular pizza you will need a large frying pan and your pizza kit. The pizza kit contains a small pot of tomato sauce, a small bag of flour, a bag of cheese, two dough balls and optional pepperoni.
Once you have all the ingredients out, start by getting the bag of flour and sprinkling it out on a clean surface. The reason to do this is so the dough doesn’t stick to the surface you are using. After that take the dough out of the bag and press down in the middle in circular motions. Lightly stretch the dough between your fingers, try to avoid touching the edges of the dough as this will produce a better crust. It should then start to look like a pizza base! If you do have difficulties stretching the dough you can always use a rolling pin.
You can measure the frying pan against the dough as a guide. You do NOT need any oil, just a sprinkle of flour to stop it from sticking. When you have got it into the shape you want, place it in the frying pan. Turn the hob on to a medium to high heat. Leave the dough to cook for a minute or so then add the sauce. Leave the sauce to cook on the base for at least another minute. While the base and sauce is cooking, preheat your grill to a high heat. The sauce by now should be starting to sizzle, this means it is nearly cooked. Keep the frying pan on the hob and keep checking the base for browning. It ideally needs to be a golden brown colour.
Once the base is cooked to your liking add the cheese and any other toppings then place the pan under the grill. Leave it under the grill for about 2 minutes. The cheese should now start to bubble. Take care when you hold the handle as it may be hot, use an oven glove if you have one. You will know that the pizza is cooked because the cheese will be bubbling and the crust should be brown.
Once the pizza is cooked, remove it from the frying pan with a spatula. Cut it up on a board or plate and dig in! Watch out, it will be very hot!
